2026 Lifeguard Certification

Students must pass the skills test on first day of course. This includes a 150 yard swim, 2 minute no hand tread, 50 yard swim, and a timed brick retrieval.

Lifeguard Training (15+ years old) The course presents information on the skills and knowledge lifeguards need. This lifeguarding course will cover CPR, First Aid, AED and lifeguarding. The comprehensive course offers up-to-date information on how to lifeguard.

Lifeguarding Class:

Friday June 5th: 4pm-9pm

Saturday June 6th:8am-6pm

Sunday June 7th: 8am-6pm

Registration ends on June 1st

You must be present for ALL of the class NO EXCEPTIONS. The online component of this class must be finished by 4pm on June 5th to complete the course. The online portion takes 8 hours, please keep in mind when scheduling your time pre-course. Bring your swim suit, towel, lunch, water, and snacks.

Physical Competency Requirements

The American Red Cross Lifeguarding course provides entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to recognize, prevent, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency services (EMS) personnel take over. Certification requirements include: Attend and participate in all class sessions, demonstrate competency in all required skills and activities, demonstrate competency in all required final rescue skill scenarios, and pass two final written exams with a minimum grade of 80%.
